ENGINEER BIOPROCESSING (Industrial Project Leader) (H/F)

CellProthera is a biotech company based in the BioValley, one of the leading life science clusters in Europe. It is developing innovative cell therapy products based on a proprietary cell processing technology platform. A multi-center Phase I/IIb clinical trial is currently on-going in Europe and Asia to treat patients having suffered from severe acute myocardial infarction.

Your Mission

Under the supervision of the Chief Development and Industrialization Officer you will manage a full-scale industrial project to market a new cell manufacturing platform

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Define and write the new equipment’s URS based on user needs, our past experience and future strategy
  • Follow industrial advances to implement state-of-the-art technical solutions
  • Participate in creating patent submissions to generate IP
  • Collaborate with biology, regulatory and quality teams to create protocols, coordinate and realize laboratory tests and qualifications
  • Analyze test results using statistical methods, draw conclusions and issue technical reports
  • Prepare and verify accuracy and completeness of the technical documentation
  • Manage the industrial part of the qualification, validation and documentation of the current equipment
  • Ensure projects’ timely execution by managing and coordinating transversal, pluri-disciplinary project teams as well as external partners
  • Provide technical training and support to the external cell manufacturing partners worldwide
  • Apply GLP standards in every day work and follow-up regulation and industry standard changes
  • Provide support and continuous improvement of the project management process

Who you are

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, in the field of Mechatronics or equivalent
  • 5-year experience in the laboratory equipment design or industrialization; ideally in bioreactors and cell culture
  • Self-driven, rigorous and result-oriented with excellent technical, communication and coordination skills
  • Hands-on and troubleshooter
  • English fluent (both in writing and spoken). French conversational

Position in Mulhouse (France)
